KARACHI, Nov 28 (APP): The three-day Sindh Youth Science and Technology Festival 2025, organized under the auspices of the Sindh Government, has begun with great enthusiasm.
The festival was inaugurated by the Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, said a statement on Friday.
After the inauguration, the Minister for Sports, accompanied by Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar, visited various scientific and technological projects and strongly encouraged the participating students. The festival will continue at the Sindh Youth Club, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, until November 30.
According to Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar, more than 70 students from over 40 public and private universities across Sindh have presented their innovative and creative projects.
He further stated that more than 1,500 students from public and private schools and various institutions are also participating in the Youth Science Festival, which is proof of the event’s remarkable success.
For those who demonstrate outstanding performance, prize money exceeding Rs 200,000 has been allocated. In addition, participants are being provided with TA/DA, free accommodation, and meal facilities.
Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar explained that to ensure the quality and transparent evaluation of projects, a panel comprising renowned professors, experts, and professionals has been formed. This panel will assess each project fairly and on technical grounds.
The Minister for Sports said that, in line with the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the Sindh Government is providing every possible facility to youth for advancement in science, technology, and other fields.
He expressed hope that this festival will open new opportunities and pathways for young people, serving as a guarantee of Sindh’s bright future.
The ceremony was also attended by former Sports Secretary Abdul Aleem Lashari, Sports Director Asad Ishaq, Deputy Director Syed Habibullah, Assistant Directors Rizwan Ali and Moiz Ahmed, Karachi DSOs Ismail Shah, Fareed Ali, Muhammad Usman, Shakeel Ahmed, Sunny Parvez, Hajra Nawab, along with other officials.
