KARACHI, Feb 12 (APP):Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has emphasized the pivotal role of accounting and finance in the modern economy, stating that a strong and transparent financial system is the key to any country’s progress. He remarked that Pakistan is an emerging economy with immense opportunities for the youth.
He expressed these views while addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as the chief guest. Earlier, ACCA’s newly elected first female president, Aaila Majid, warmly welcomed Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori at the event.
Congratulating the newly inducted ACCA members, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori highlighted that their success is a result of their relentless efforts and a symbol of their promising future. He further stated that this event marks a significant milestone in the country’s economic growth.
Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori praised ACCA as a global benchmark for professional expertise in accounting and finance and expressed pride in the fact that Pakistani youth are excelling in this field on an international level.
He stressed the need to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into every aspect of accounting and finance. He also highlighted that 50,000 young individuals are currently enrolled in IT courses at Governor House, with graduates earning between $1,500 to $2,000 per month.
Additionally, Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori mentioned that Governor House has distributed over 850,000 ration bags to deserving individuals. He also noted that the “Umeed Ki Ghanti” (Bell of Hope) installed outside Gate No. 1 of Governor House is actively serving as a beacon of assistance for those in need.
