Stringent monitoring underway to further improve transparency in FDA revenue collection system
FAISALABAD, Sep 22 (APP):Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind
said on Tuesday that stringent monitoring was underway to maintain financial discipline
within the institution and further improve the transparency and effectiveness of the revenue
collection system.
Chairing a meeting, he said that modern technology and digital systems were being
extensively utilized on the direction of FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry.
He reviewed FDA’s income and expenditures, revenue collections under various heads,
recovery of outstanding dues, and records pertaining to financial matters in details.
He directed that complete transparency must be ensured in all financial matters and
that the relevant records should be kept fully updated in every respect.
He made it clear that any negligence, unnecessary delay or ambiguity in financial records
would not be tolerated.
Qaiser Abbas Rind said that modern technology was being utilized to further strengthen
the revenue collection system so that financial matters can be effectively monitored,
records could be maintained in a timely manner and the process of recovering outstanding
dues could be improved.
He directed the officers concerned to review progress towards recovery targets on a daily
basis and further accelerate the recovery of outstanding amounts.
He said that applicants seeking various services from FDA should be provided with comprehensive
guidance regarding online payment procedures so that citizens could be saved from unnecessary
visits to offices and official processing could be expedited through digital payments.
In this regard, timely information and necessary assistance should be provided to applicants
to ensure prompt relief, he added.
Additional Director General further stated the FDA was reducing paperwork and promoting
digital and online systems, which would not only accelerate official procedures but also
improve transparency, accountability and accuracy in financial matters and record-keeping.
He directed the officers to make full use of modern technology to further integrate the financial
system and maintain effective coordination among all relevant departments.
He said that timely revenue collection was crucial for the financial self-reliance of the authority,
therefore, no laxity or unnecessary delay in the recovery of outstanding dues would be tolerated.
Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind emphasized that transparency and merit must be
given the highest priority in all financial matters and that ease, efficiency and convenience must
be ensured in the services provided to citizens.
He directed the FDA officers to ensure continuous monitoring of financial matters through the
modern system, availability of accurate data and timely reporting so that the overall performance
of the authority could be further improved and made more effective.
