MULTAN, Feb 09 (APP):The district administration has completed all arrangements for the doorstep delivery of Nigehban Ramzan Ration Cards to 95,000 deserving beneficiaries across the district.
Under the supervision of the district administration, PSER teams have been tasked with distributing the cards through door-to-door visits, ensuring that eligible families receive the facility with dignity and convenience.
To address complaints related to inactive cards, Deputy Commissioner Maleeha Rasheed, in a meeting here on Monday, ordered immediate activation of the complaint redressal centers at tehsil agriculture offices to ensure beneficiaries could get their issues resolved without delay.
In the first phase, cards will be distributed among 65,000 registered beneficiaries in the district, the DC said while presiding over the meeting that reviewed the distribution mechanism of the Ramzan Nigehban Ration Cards in detail. ADCG Ghulam Mustafa Sehar and District Manager PSER Sultan Haider gave briefing on operational planning and field arrangements.
Others in attendance included assistant commissioners, representatives of PERA, agriculture department, police, and local government departments, who will actively participate in the distribution process to ensure transparency, security, and smooth implementation.
Maleeha Rasheed said that the Nigehban Ramzan Ration Cards will be delivered to rightful beneficiaries in a dignified manner, adding that strict action will be taken against retailers involved in illegal deductions or exploitation of beneficiaries.
The initiative is aimed at providing timely relief to low-income families ahead of Ramzan, ensuring access to essential food support through a transparent and accountable distribution system.
