SSUET students receive appreciation at Pakistan Chemical Expo

KARACHI, Jun 26 (APP):Sir Syed University of engineering and Technology (SSUET) participated in the Pakistan Chemical Expo (PACE) 2025, a premier event organized by Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association (PCMA) serves as a dynamic platform where creativity and scientific exploration come together to shape the future of our industry.
The SSUET stall remained the center of attraction of citizens, experts, industrialists, and students at the two-day exhibition, and SSUET students’ innovative projects received great appreciation.
Six remarkable projects developed by talented university students were put on display at the exhibition. These projects exemplified the ingenuity and determination of SSUET students, featuring the spirit of innovation that is essential for addressing the challenges we face in our world today.
The Chancellor Sir Syed University, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan, accompanied by Erum Akbar Ali Khan, Dr. Jafar Nazir Usmani, and Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali, visited the stall on the first day of the exhibition and appreciated the creative talents and research activities of the students.
Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan presented the SSUET Souvenir to the Chairman PCMA, Haroon Ali Khan, who graced the expo with his presence, significantly uplifting the morale of SSUET participants and drawing attention to the university’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
Chairman PCMA, Haroon Ali Khan, said that new avenues for the development of the industry are opened through research into modern chemicals. The main objective of the exhibition is to promote new thinking and innovation. Participants in the exhibition acquire an excellent networking opportunity.
On the auspicious occasion, Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan said that it is a matter of pride that students have demonstrated extraordinary abilities in practical projects as well as in academic activities. Their participation in this expo is not only a source of learning but also acts as a bridge between industry and academia. We are proud of our youth who are shaping the future of technology in Pakistan, he added.
Erum Akbar Ali underscored that the Chemical Expo showcased an impressive array of students’ projects, focusing on innovative solutions and environmental science. The Expo featured a competition where students pitched their projects to a panel of industry experts, paving the way for future breakthroughs.
Chief Organizer of Chemical Expo, Adeel Khan, said that Chemical Expo provides an opportunity to students from different universities to present their projects to experts, industry representatives, and other people. In this way, it becomes easier for them to get sufficient support and cooperation to develop their projects on a commercial basis.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar Syed Sarfraz Ali said that the projects prepared by the students are proof that our educational institutions secure a higher place in the field of research and innovation. Sir Syed University will always promote interactive and industry-linked learning.
