KARACHI, Dec 04 (APP):Senior Superintendent of Police, Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan issued a series of directives to SIU officers and personnel during a roll call and meeting aimed at improving the unit’s overall performance, according to an SIU spokesperson on Thursday.
During the meeting, the SSP reviewed the performance of all SIU/CIA officers and stressed the need for resolving major cases including murder, attempted murder, extortion, and armed robbery through technical investigation. He also ordered an intensified crackdown on drug-related offences.
Dr. Imran Khan warned that strict departmental action will be taken against any officers or personnel found negligent, involved in misconduct, or supporting criminal activities.
He further instructed that officers must be immediately informed in case of raids or arrests, and emphasized action against organised criminal groups. Attendance on the Police Software “Point Me” system was also ordered to be ensured at 100 percent.
DSP Operations Wasif Qureshi and DSP Sohail were also present during the meeting.
The SSP directed officers to eliminate criminal elements to help maintain peace and security in the city.
