ISLAMABAD, Jun 18 (APP):Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Muhammad Shoaib Khan, chaired a high-level meeting on Wednesday to review and strengthen measures for crime prevention across the district.
An official told APP that Additional Station House Officers (SHOs) from across the district participated in the meeting. The SSP Shoaib directed the officers to ensure the arrest of hardened criminals, including proclaimed offenders and those with previous criminal records.
SSP Shoaib emphasized launching a crackdown on members of active motorcycle theft gangs and instructed officers to enhance patrolling efforts to ensure a stronger police presence in the field.
SSP Shoaib said action must be taken against individuals involved in the possession and display of illegal weapons, as well as those involved in drug trafficking.
“All available resources must be utilized to eliminate crime,” SSP said, stressing that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
