SSP Shahzaib reviews progress on criminal cases, urges swift justice

ISLAMABAD, Feb 14 (APP):Islamabad Capital Police Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation, Muhammad Arslan Shahzaib, Friday chaired a high-level meeting to assess the progress of investigations into robberies and other crimes.
A police spokesperson told APP that zonal SPs and investigating officers attended the meeting, which focused on enhancing investigative procedures to secure convictions and ensure justice for citizens.
He said during the session, SSP Shahzaib emphasized the critical role of thorough investigations in ensuring criminals receive appropriate punishments while safeguarding public rights. He urged officers to integrate advanced technology with traditional methods to improve policing standards.
SSP Shahzaib reviewed ongoing cases of heinous crimes, issuing directives to enhance the quality of investigations. He also took action against underperforming officers while awarding commendation certificates and cash prizes to those demonstrating exceptional performance.
SSP directed officers to conclude pending cases on merit and submit strong, evidence-based challans to the relevant courts, stressing the need for maximum convictions to deter crime effectively.
Additionally, SSP Shahzaib ordered an immediate crackdown on absconders and proclaimed offenders, reiterating that ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
