MULTAN, Jan 03 (APP):SSP Operations Multan Haider Ali on Saturday directed all police officials to mandatory use an AI-based digital application for crime predictive analysis to enhance proactive crime prevention and timely response.
According to a police spokesperson,the application,“Punjab Emergency,” developed by Safe City and Punjab Police,helps identify potential crime hotspots through data analysis.
Access to the software was limited to police officials and installation was provided through official departmental links.
SSP Operations chaired a meeting at the CPO Complex Conference Hall with officers from City,Gulgasht and Cantonment divisions, where he emphasized the importance of technology-driven,data-based policing.
Officials from Safe City also briefed participants on the application’s features and effective use.
He stressed that mandatory use of the application would improve monitoring,prevention and control of crime across district.
