RAWALPINDI, Jul 24 (APP):A prize distribution ceremony for toppers of the SCC Annual Examinations of the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) was held on Thursday at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in which Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi distributed the medals and prizes among the students as the chief guest.
Controller of Examinations, Tanveer Asghar Awan while announcing the results said that a total of 120,297 students participated in the examination, including 58,786 male and 60,507 female students. He highlighted that modern technology was utilized this year to ensure a transparent examination process, enabling merit-based results. He informed that the pass percentage for female students was 73.89 percent, while for male students, it was 62.89 percent.
He announced that among the top position holders, Muhammad Usman from Lawrence College, Murree, topped in the exams with 1188/1200 marks while Bisma Ali from Punjab Secondary School for Girls, Tala Gang, srood second with 1177 marks (Roll No. 113530). Maryam Shehzadi from Bahria Foundation School, Chakwal, came third with 1175 marks (Roll No. 150056).
According to the results, in the Science and General groups, Muhammad Usman with 1,188 marks, Asma Iman 1,125 marks, and Muhammad Hannan Saeedi with 1,031 marks got first position in their respective groups.
The second position was secured by Bisma Ali with 1,177 marks, Maryam Shehzadi with 1,175 marks, Saad Khan with 1,172 marks, Muhammad Ashiq with 983 marks, and Laiba Saeed with 1,089 marks. The third position was achieved by Ayan Khan with 1,169 marks, Adeela Ansar Raja with 1,173 marks, Muhammad Ahmed with 982 marks and Muneeza Bibi with 1,084 marks.
The Controller Exams also informed that the examinations of 142 candidates were canceled this year, while 862 candidates were absent. However, 119,293 students participated in the examination process.
Medals and certificates were distributed to the students who secured top positions, and honorary shields were presented to the heads of examination centers and relevant officers for ensuring a transparent examination process.
Parliamentarians including Malik Abrar Ahmed MNA, MPAs Malik Mansoor Afsar and Asma Naz Abbasi, Vice Chancellor FJWU Dr. Bushra Mirza, Chairman BISE Rawalpindi Muhammad Adnan Khan, Director Colleges Amjad Iqbal Khattak, former Director Colleges Sher Ahmed Satti, along with officers from the Rawalpindi Education Department, faculty members of Fatima Jinnah Women University, and a large number of students attended the event.
A large number of parents and teachers also attended the ceremony.
