SUKKUR, Oct 31 (APP):The Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) distributed 120 cheques among women beneficiaries under People’s Poverty Reduction Program (PPRP) at Village Ghatti, UC Mubarak Pur, Taluka Pano Aqil, district Sukkur on Friday.
The event was aimed to provide low-cost housing and interest-free loans to identified women, promoting economic empowerment and poverty reduction.
The ceremony was presided over by Jam Qadir Dharejo, representing Minister for Industries Sindh, Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, along with other guests, including Assistant Commissioner (AC) Pano Aqil, Ms Urwah Til Wosqa, Syndicate Member of Aroor University Sukkur Rafeeq Soomro, and Parwaiz Ghani.
SRSO’s Regional General Manager (RGM) Sukkur region, Aamir Abbas Mangi and other team members also
participated, highlighting the organisation’s commitment to empowering rural women.
The guests visited newly constructed DPCs, kitchen gardening plots, and engaged in dialogue with the community, appreciating SRSO’s efforts to reduce poverty and promote community development.
The PPRP project has positively impacted the livelihoods of rural women, providing interest-free microfinancing and addressing unemployment, particularly among women and youth.
SRSO’s initiatives have organized rural communities, empowering women and promoting sustainable development.
