QUETTA, Feb 19 (APP):Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti on Thursday said that a special Ramazan package is being provided to 328,000 deserving families across the province, to protect the poor and vulnerable sections from the effects of inflation and maximum relief is to be provided.
In one of his messages, he also directed the concerned authorities to take indiscriminate action against artificial inflation, overselling and hoarding during the holy month of Ramazan.
While announcing the maintenance of stability in food prices during the fasting month, the CM has made it clear that providing relief to the people is the top priority of the government.
He said that overselling would not be tolerated under any circumstances. The administration has been directed to ensure continuous monitoring of the markets so that the people can get essential commodities at fixed prices.
The CM said that to ensure transparent distribution of this package, assistance is being provided to the deserving people through eight-member of District Development Committees so that the deserving people would get facilities in a timely and fair manner.
He expressed his resolve that the government would make public relief measures more effective during Ramazan and negligence or mismanagement could not be tolerated at any level.
He urged the public that if they have any complaints regarding price hike or distribution of Ramazan package, they should contact the Chief Minister’s Complaints Cell immediately so that timely redressal of the complaints could be ensured.
The CM assured that all resources would be utilized to resolve public issues and that maximum facilities would be provided during Ramazan.
