Special Assistant inspection expressed condolences over minor girl murder
SARGODHA, Jun 26 (APP):Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz for Inspection,Shoaib Mirza visited the residence of eight-year-old Muntaha Zahra on Friday to offer condolences to her bereaved family and assured them of a transparent investigation into the child’s murder.
During the visit,Mirza met the girl’s parents and conveyed the chief minister’s sympathies,saying Maryam Nawaz was deeply saddened by the incident and was personally monitoring the progress of the case.
He said that the CM Maryam Nawaz had directed the relevant departments to complete the investigation at the earliest to ensure justice for the victim’s family.
He added that all those found involved in the crime would be brought to justice in accordance with the law after the investigation was completed.
Mirza reiterated the Punjab government’s commitment to ensuring a fair and impartial investigation and said no effort would be spared in holding those responsible accountable.
Eight-year-old Muntaha Zahra,a resident of 8-Block in Sargodha was allegedly abducted before being found dead earlier this week.
Police were investigating allegations that she was sexually assaulted before being murdered.
The investigation was underway.
