SARGODHA, Nov 17 (APP):The Sargodha Press Club on Monday organized an important training workshop on the utility of digital media and modern journalistic requirements, which was attended by a large number of journalists.
According to a spokesperson, senior journalist Shafique Khan delivered a special briefing on digital journalism during the event.
The workshop was presided over by Press Club President Abdul Hannan Chaudhry, while General Secretary Sheikh Muhammad Rizwan, Executive Member Mujahid Bukhari and senior journalist Rana Afzal Hanif were also present.
Renowned local journalist and digital media influencer Muhammad Shafiq Khan delivered a special lecture at the occasion.
He shared his experiences of establishing the first digital television channel in the Sargodha Division and creating a modern standard studio with the participants.
He emphasized that today’s era is a digital era and it has become essential for journalists to enhance their skills.
Shafique Khan warned that if journalists do not adopt modern requirements, journalism will lag behind, describing it as a survival challenge.
He encouraged journalists to register their digital platforms, noting that the process was currently easy and inexpensive, while it would become difficult and costly in the future.
The Digital Media Influencer pointed out that anyone with a touch-screen mobile phone could start digital journalism, and a studio could be established in a small room without expensive equipment. He stressed that quality content is the only important requirement.
The senior journalist advised participants to focus on digital journalism, social media reports, mobile journalism and research-based stories, stating that quality content always finds acceptance in the market.
