RAWALPINDI, Jul 13 (APP):Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Division Anum Sher has directed police officers to intensify operations against proclaimed offenders involved in murder cases and take strict action against their facilitators.
Chairing a meeting of SDPOs and SHOs at the Saddar Office, she emphasized swift arrests, effective investigations, and the timely disposal of pending cases to strengthen law enforcement and ensure justice.
During the meeting, SP Anum Sher reviewed the progress of under-investigation cases with each SHO individually and instructed officers to trace and arrest the accused without delay. She directed police to ensure the prompt disposal of pending cases and maintain close monitoring of serious investigations.
The SP also ordered an effective crackdown against drug traffickers, directing SDPOs to personally supervise investigations in narcotics cases.
She further instructed police to include previously convicted offenders in the investigation of robbery, dacoity, and theft cases and keep them under strict surveillance.
Emphasizing accountability, SP Anum Sher directed circle officers to monitor the progress of serious cases on a daily basis, stating that professional investigation and effective prosecution are essential for securing convictions.
She also instructed SHOs to resolve the issues of citizens visiting police stations on a priority basis, reiterating that maintaining law and order and ensuring justice for the public remain the police’s foremost responsibilities, for which all available resources are being utilized.
