LAHORE, May 30 (APP):Superintendent of Police (SP) Iqbal Town Dr Muhammad Umar held a khuli kutchehry (open court) at Jamia Masjid Ittehad Colony at Multan Park on Friday, where he listened to public grievances and issued immediate directives for their resolution.
DSP Atif Miraj and SHO Multan Park Sohail Gondal were also present.
SP Muhammad Umar said the primary aim of the open court was to bridge the gap between the police and the public and to eliminate the culture of nepotism in resolving citizens’ issues. “My office doors are always open for the public. We are here round the clock for the protection of life and property and for the redress of public concerns,” Umar assured.
He reiterated the police’s commitment to being present on the frontlines during any time of difficulty, stating that citizens would always find the police standing shoulder to shoulder with them.
SP Umar further emphasised that the provision of justice and upholding the rule of law remain top priorities for the police force.
The open court provided residents a platform to voice their concerns directly to senior police officials, fostering greater transparency and trust between law enforcement and the community.
