LAHORE, Jul 28 (APP): Kashmir Committee Chairman Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon has said that Pakistan will never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Addressing a press conference here at the Press Information Department on Monday, he said that Pakistan had always supported Kashmiri people and Kashmir cause diplomatically, politically and morally.
He said, “It has become a habit of the Modi government to conduct false flag operations and then show aggression. Today we once again strongly condemn the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A by the Modi government on August 5, 2019.”
He condemned the Pulwama incident, abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, Indian aggression and demographic changes in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), cultural, civilizational and religious aggression, atrocities by the Indian army, human rights violation and detaining Hurriyat leadership in far-flung areas.
He said, “We urge the international community that the Kashmir issue has never been a bilateral, internal or regional issue but it is an international issue as per the first resolution of United Nations Security Council and UN charter.”
He said if the Kashmir conflict was not resolved, there would be no peace and stability in South Asia.
Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon said that the Indian government should set free the Illegally detained Hurriyat Conference leadership. He said that Syed Shabir Shah’s life was in danger and he should be provided with basic health facilities. Similarly there are many other leaders in jail, including Yasin Malik, Musarrat Alam Bhat and Dr Qasim Faktoo, he added.
He said, “After the Pahalgam false flag operation, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and military leadership said it loud and clear that there should be an international investigation into the incident.
Pakistan as a state condemned the incident but India carried out unprovoked strikes on Pakistan, targeting civilians in which women and children were martyred. Pakistan gave a befitting response to the Indian aggression and the arrogance of the Modi government was deflated.”
He said that ceasefire was never a permanent solution, adding that resolution of the Kashmir issue was a permanent solution for which a meaningful and comprehensive dialogue was imperative.
He appealed to the international community and leadership to play their role in solving the Kashmir dispute, Indus Waters Treaty and stopping Indian sponsored terrorism.
He said that Balochistan was bleeding and and Indian was involved in destroying peace there. “Pakistan has made a lot of sacrifices and faced billion of dollars loss in the war on terror. We salute Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Pakistan armed forces for inflicting a crushing defeat on Indian,” he added.
Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon said that Pakistan defeated India on the diplomatic front and our media played a responsible role and in 16 hours the balance of power of South Asia was changed. Pakistan will never accept Indian hegemony in the region, he added.
He termed the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir a highly militarized zone in the world.
To a question he said that Kashmir issue was not dependent on governments as it was the basic agenda of the state. He said that the creation of Pakistan was incomplete till freedom of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
