ABBOTTABAD, Nov 04 (APP):The scenic Kaghan Valley has turned white as intermittent snowfall continues in its upper areas, including Batta Kundi, Besar Lake, Lulusar Lake, and Lake Saif-ul-Malook, attracting a large number of tourists eager to enjoy the early winter weather.
Meanwhile, the Hazara region, particularly Abbottabad and Mansehra districts, has been experiencing heavy rain, hailstorms, and thunderstorms since noon, leading to a sharp drop in temperatures across the area. The chilly weather marks the onset of winter in the northern parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with mercury levels falling significantly below seasonal averages.
Under the directions of Director General Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) Shabbir Khan, KDA teams have been deployed at key tourist spots to guide and assist visitors arriving to witness the snowfall. The teams are also conducting regular patrols in different parts of the valley to ensure the safety of tourists and maintain smooth access during adverse weather conditions.
According to local reports, the combination of rain in lower valleys and snow in higher altitudes has not only enhanced the region’s natural beauty but also signaled the beginning of the peak winter tourism season in Kaghan and Naran. However, authorities have advised travelers to exercise caution due to slippery roads and reduced visibility caused by the ongoing weather conditions.
