SNGPL cuts off 126 connections

LAHORE, Oct 24 (APP):The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) cut off 126 connections, imposed Rs13.34 million fines and processed 171 cases of underbilling on Tuesday.

In Lahore, the regional team took action against gas theft, cutting off five connections engaged in the illegal use of gas and eight connections using compressors. A total of Rs. 11.08 million in fines have been imposed against gas theft, with one FIR filed against an offender.
In Bahawalpur, the regional team severed four connections in Multan, 18 in Peshawar and 22 in Mardan. SNGPL processed 20 underbilling cases and imposed fines of Rs. 0.16 million.
The regional team in Sargodha processed 49 underbilling cases, resulting in fines of Rs. 0.03 million. In Gujranwala, three meters were disconnected while 51 connections were removed in Rawalpindi.
