Smog awareness drive held in Sialkot schools

SIALKOT, Oct 17 (APP): The District Education Authority (DEA) Sialkot on Friday organized awareness activities in public and private schools to educate students about the harmful effects of smog and promote Eco-friendly habits.
According to a DEA spokesperson,the campaign aimed to develop environmental responsibility among students and encourage practical steps to reduce pollution.
Students were urged to use bicycles or walk to school,conserve water and electricity,plant trees,avoid littering and garbage burning and maintain cleanliness to help reduce smog.
Teachers highlighted the impact of smog on human health,especially on the respiratory system and eyes and stressed the importance of environmental awareness among children for a healthier future.
The DEA spokesperson added that educational institutions,social groups and citizens were being encouraged to actively participate in Eco-friendly initiatives to make city cleaner and greener.
