SUKKUR, Jan 03 (APP):In a major operation led by Municipal Commissioner Peer Wahid Bakhsh on Sunday, the anti encroachment Branch of Sukkur Municipal Corporation (SMC) removed an illegal Ljnda Bazar at Ayub Khan Stadium, a longstanding encroachment in the heart of the city as well illegal car parking.
Under the supervision of Anti Encroachment Branch Inspectors Suhail Altaf Sheikh and Jiand Sheikh, the authorities dismantled the unauthorized market and confiscated goods belonging to the encroachers. The officials warned that any further unauthorized occupation or business on public premises, playgrounds, or government land would face strict action.
Municipal Commissioner Peer Wahid Bakhsh emphasized that sports centers like Ayub Khan Stadium were meant for promoting youth health and fitness and encroachments on such facilities would not be tolerated. He stated that the Sukkur Municipal Corporation was committed to maintaining the city’s aesthetics, traffic flow and public convenience, and would continue to take action against encroachments without bias.
The Municipal Commissioner directed all relevant branches to remain vigilant and fulfill their responsibilities to eliminate encroachments, protect government land, and keep the city organized.
