Sindh likely to receive rains on Monday

NAWABSHAH, Jun 15 (APP):According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), thunderstorm and heavy rainfall is expected across Sindh, including Shaheed Benazirabad district on June 16 and 17.
Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, has issued directives to all relevant departments to remain on high alert and fully prepared for any emergency situation. Departments have been instructed to ensure the prompt drainage of rainwater in all areas.
In a public advisory, Deputy Commissioner has urged citizens to follow safety precautions during the rains. DC advised People to stay informed about weather updates through print, electronic, and social media.
PDMA has issued safety guidelines for citizens to follow strictly. Keep doors and windows closed during storms and avoid sitting near windows. Stay away from electric poles and wires; do not touch electrical switches or outlets with wet hands. Avoid parking vehicles near walls, weak structures, or under trees. Secure solar panels and other outdoor equipment to prevent damage. District administration has advised that in case of any emergency, citizens should immediately contact their respective Assistant Commissioner or the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
