Sialkot University organises awareness seminar on blood donation

SIALKOT, Jan 16 (APP):The University of Sialkot (USKT) Blood Donor and Medical Aid Society organised an awareness seminar on blood donation.
Head of the MLT Department Dr. Saba Safdar guided students on the importance of blood transfusion, discussed common myths surrounding it, and shared how students can contribute effectively.
According to USKT, the chief guest, In-charge 15 Helpline Sialkot Ahmad Saleem representing Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), Manager Raja Adeel Mahmood, announced newly launched initiatives in Sialkot, including the “Women Safety App,” Virtual Women Police Stations, Panic Button, Free WiFi Spots and the “PSCA Emergency Blood Bank,” supported by Sub Inspector. Jahanghir Khan from the District Welfare Police Office.
Dean of Inter Faculty Linkages Dr. Aslam Dar in his talk, acknowledged the commitment of the police department to public service and shared the vision of Vice Chancellor USKT Prof.(Meritorious) Dr. Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman, for the collaboration between universities and government institutions to enhance community welfare.
The seminar also showcased projects by students of the MLT and Blood Donation Society, highlighting their dedication and innovation.
