DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 25 (APP): Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Sohail along with District Food Controller (DFC) Aman Khan on Wednesday visited the vegetable market in Ratta Kulachi to monitor the auction process of vegetables, fruits, and other agricultural commodities.
According to the administration during the visit, the bidding process was ensured to be fully transparent.
On-the-spot price fixation was reviewed, and an official price list was issued accordingly.
They directed traders, commission agents, and shopkeepers to provide quality vegetables and fruits to the public in accordance with the government-approved rates, warning that legal action would be taken in case of violations.
The overall sanitation conditions of the market were also thoroughly reviewed.
Relevant staff were instructed to further improve the cleanliness system and ensure timely disposal of waste. Considering the rush, practical measures were also taken to manage traffic and movement within the market to prevent inconvenience to buyers and traders.
It added such visits would continue regularly to safeguard public interest and maintain price control in the market.
