SHO among 15 cops booked in lawyer’s murder case
VEHARI, Nov 30 (APP):Fifteen police officials including SHO Machhiwal police station were
booked over the killing of advocate Zeeshan Shabbir in alleged encounter.
The case was registered on the complaint of victim’s mother and strong
protests by Vehari Bar lawyers and family members.
The complainant alleged that SHO Rai Sajid, ASI Junaid Bhatti,
ASI Ashraf and 11 other police officials stormed into her house and
opened fire. As a result, Advocate Zeeshan Shabbir and his nephew
Hasnain received critical bullet wounds and died on the spot.
Further investigation was underway.
