LARKANA, Oct 16 (APP):Senior Provincial Minister for Information, Transport, and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon, arrived at Ghari Yaseen and expressed their condolences to the heirs of the late Agha Siraj Khan Durrani on Thursday.
He was accompnied by Provincial Minister for Works & Services and Prisons Haji Ali Hassan Zardari, Provincial Minister for Livestock Muhammad Ali Malkani, MNA Ijaz Hussain Jakhrani, and MPAs Imdad Pitafi and Siraj Qasim Soomro.
Speaking to the media, Sharjeel Memon said that Agha Siraj Durrani was a great asset for the Pakistan Peoples Party, who maintained his loyalty and association with the party until his last days. “His sacrifices for the party will always be remembered, and his loss is an unbearable one, but it is also a great loss for the politics of Sindh and Pakistan.”
He said that Agha Siraj Durrani faced difficulties and the hardships of imprisonment with courage but never compromised on his principled stance. “He played a brilliant role during his tenure as the Speaker of the Sindh Assembly and remained loyal to the leadership.”
Responding to a question about illegal immigration, the senior minister said that action against illegal immigration is ongoing in Sindh, as well as in all other areas of Pakistan.
Speaking about political victimization during the previous government, he said that cases were filed against political leaders during PTI’s tenure, including Agha Siraj Durrani, and they were targeted for political revenge. “PPP leaders have always fought legal battles through the courts and sought justice through constitutional means.”
Responding to a question about development projects, Sharjeel Memon said that the Sindh government is building world-class development schemes. “Our circle of competition is with the world. We have established a world-class economic zone in Khairpur and have built more than two million houses for flood-affected people, which have been praised at the international level.”
