ISLAMABAD, Jun 16 (APP):Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmakers staged a strong protest in the National Assembly on Monday, vehemently rejecting opposition member Shahid Khattak’s remarks about the party leadership.
During the budget debate in the National Assembly, PPP members rose from their seats in protest after PTI’s Shahid Khattak directly criticized Bilawal Bhutto and Aseefa Bhutto, making inappropriate remarks about them.
Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani urged Shahid Khattak to concentrate on the budget discussion rather than criticizing the PPP leadership, emphasizing that they represent the people’s mandate.
The deputy speaker instructed Khattak to maintain decorum and focus on the budget, expunging several words from his speech and repeatedly cautioning him against disrupting the House’s atmosphere.
