KARACHI, Feb 11 (APP): Acting on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) District Central Dr. Muhammad Imran Khan, police arrested seven alleged street criminals, including six injured suspects, during four separate encounters in different areas of the district.
According to a spokesperson for SSP Central on Wednesday, the operations were carried out by police teams from Gabol Town, New Karachi, Super Market and Sir Syed police stations.
The arrested suspects were identified as Mairaj son of Noor Islam, Sheharyar son of Saleem, Syed Saim Ali son of Syed Wajid Ali, Dilawar son of Shamshad, Faizan son of Nafeesuddin, Nazeer Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed (injured), and Arham son of Jameel Younus.
Police recovered seven 30-bore pistols with rounds, five mobile phones, two motorcycles and cash from their possession.
The encounters took place in Gabol Town, New Karachi Sector 11-J, near Gujjar Nala on Lyari Expressway, and in the vicinity of Muhammad Shah Graveyard. Police said the suspects were involved in multiple incidents of street crime in the area.
The injured suspects were shifted to hospital for medical treatment. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
