Session court Havelian sentences main accused to 26 years in Haji Sikandar murder case

HAVELIAN, Jul 29 (APP):The Additional Sessions Judge Havelian on Tuesday announced the verdict in a high-profile murder case dating back to March 15, 2023, sentenced the primary accused, Bilal Khan, son of Shamraiz Khan, to 26 years of imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 200,000.
The case involved the murder of Khan, a resident of Ghari Phalgran, who was killed during a local Jirga. Other co-accused Ashir Khan, Irshad Khan, Liaqat Khan, and Nazim Khan were also found guilty and received punishments as per the court’s orders.
However, one of the central figures in the case, Sajjad Khan, remains a fugitive. A challan under Section 512 of the Criminal Procedure Code had already been issued against him for absconding from the court proceedings.
