SEPA inspects cardiac care hospital Tando Muhammad Khan for environmental compliance
HYDERABAD, Jun 30 (APP):The Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), District Office Tando Muhammad Khan, carried out an inspection of the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Cardiac Care Hospital in Tando Muhammad Khan to ensure compliance with environmental laws aimed at safeguarding public health and environmental protection.
The inspection team was led by Assistant Director (Law) Tufail Ahmed Abbasi and included Noor Ahmed Nahyoon and Shahnawaz Baloch. The team reviewed the hospital’s operations under the Sindh Hospital Waste Management Rules 2014 and the Sindh Environmental Protection Act 2014.
Facilitated by the hospital’s Duty Administrator Syed Noor Malik Shah, the inspection focused on the proper handling, segregation, treatment and disposal of medical waste. The team also assessed the measures adopted by the hospital to prevent environmental pollution and minimize public health risks associated with waste.
