HYDERABAD, Jul 07 (APP):The funeral prayers of senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Haji Abdul Sattar Bachani were offered at Darul Uloom Madrasah in Tando Allahyar on Monday.
Haji Abdul Sattar Bachani, regarded as one of the most senior leaders of the PPP, was also the father of Member of the National Assembly Zulfiqar Sattar Bachani. According to family sources, he had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi and passed away on Sunday at the age of 78.
His funeral was attended by a large number of people including Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and prominent PPP figures Khursheed Shah, Manzoor Wassan, Jam Khan Shoro, Sadiq Memon, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Taimur Talpur, Sarfaraz Rajar, Imdad Pitafi and Aajiz Dhamrah. Members of both provincial and national assemblies, government officials, religious scholars, journalists, political and social figures and local citizens also attended his funeral.
