ISLAMABAD, Jun 19 (APP):Delegations from two educational institutions – Government Postgraduate College for Women, Bannu, and Al-Tarmizi Public School, Battagram – visited the Senate of Pakistan on Thursday.
The 25-member delegation from Government Postgraduate College for Women, Bannu, and a 34-member delegation comprising students and faculty members from Al-Tarmizi Public School, Battagram, were warmly welcomed by senior officials of the Upper House.
The delegations were taken on a guided tour of the Senate Museum, where they watched a comprehensive documentary showcasing the history of the Senate, key national events, constitutional evolution, and parliamentary development. The film visually and contextually depicted Pakistan’s constitutional journey and significant moments in the country’s legislative history.
Besides this, the visit provided the students with a deep insight into parliamentary traditions, the Senate’s role, and its constitutional significance.
Subsequently, the delegations also visited the Senate Hall, where they observed a live session. On this occasion, they were briefed on the legislative process, parliamentary procedures, and the overall functioning of the Senate
