LAHORE, Dec 18 (APP): Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Works, Senator Nasir Mehmood Butt, along with committee members, on Thursday inspected encroached and illegally occupied properties at Chamba House, Wafaqi Colony, and federal lodges and flats on Edgerton Road.
Earlier, Senator Nasir Butt presided over a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Housing and Works, where illegal occupation of Chamba House land and flats on Edgerton Road was discussed in detail.
Addressing the issue, the chairman said, “Action against illegal encroachments or possessions will be taken strictly in accordance with the law.” He stressed that neither the federal nor provincial governments support encroachments and noted that the Punjab government was already taking vigorous measures to remove illegal occupations.
Senators Abdul Shakoor Khan, Khalida Ateeb, Husna Bano, and other committee members were also present during the visit and meeting.
