Seminar on ‘Drug Prevention in Youth’ held

KARACHI, Aug 12 (APP):A seminar titled ‘Drug Prevention in Youth’ was held at the Sindh Boy Scouts Association here on Monday.
The event was organized by the Regional Directorate Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Sindh and Professional Youth Foundation of Pakistan. The Regional Directorate Commander of ANF Sindh Brigadier Mohammed Umer Farooq was the chief guest on the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Brigadier Umer Farooq said that ANF was going to launch an anti-narcotics campaign in the educational institutes of the Sindh province from August 15.
He said that the universities of the province would be covered in the first phase. Our society was facing many challenges including poverty, terrorism and menace of drugs.
He said that the prime responsibility of ANF was to nab drug-peddlers, traffickers and suppliers.
He further said that ANF Sindh was acting against drugs and their dealers with full force and making all-out efforts to provide a drug-free society to our people.
The event was attended among others by the teachers , students , showbiz and media personalities .
