Security, logistical arrangements reviewed for Muharram

PESHAWAR, Jul 12 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Kohat Dr. Azmatullah Wazir along with District Police Officer(DPO) Umar Khan visited various imambargahs and procession routes within the inner city to inspect security arrangements for Muharram.
Accompanied by additional deputy commissioner general and assistant commissioner Kohat, the DC took stock of security arrangements and other arrangements for peaceful observance of Muharram.
They visited key locations including TMA sub command post, where they reviewed security protocols implemented in light of the sanctity of Muharram.
The deputy commissioner emphasized the importance of robust security measures, instructing security agencies to maintain strict vigilance against anti-peace elements or suspicious individuals.
He also met with administrators of imambargahs and discussed security plans and exchanged views on various administrative matters.
The imambargah administrators expressed gratitude to the district administration for their proactive approach and assured full cooperation in ensuring a peaceful Muharram.
Dr. Azmatullah Wazir reiterated that comprehensive security measures had been made to ensure the peaceful conduct of Muharram gatherings.
