Security arrangements reviewed for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) in meeting

RAWALPINDI, Aug 24 (APP):Superintendent of Police SP Saddar Anum Sher and SP Potohar Chaudhry Asar Ali held meetings to review security arrangements for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) processions and gatherings.
Senior Police officers chaired separate meetings attended by SDPOs, SHOs, representatives of traders’ associations, members of peace committees and the Cantonment Board, as well as organizers and members of the Central Milad Committee.
The meetings reviewed security, law and order and traffic arrangements for the religious celebrations. Police officials said only designated entry points would be used for access to Milad-un-Nabi processions and stressed strict compliance with the code of conduct issued for processions and stages.
The officers directed police personnel to ensure the safety and convenience of citizens while maintaining law and order throughout the events. They also emphasized that peace, tolerance and patience were important elements of the region’s religious traditions.
Representatives of the religious and community organizations assured the police of their full cooperation in maintaining peace, security and smooth traffic flow during the events. The meetings concluded with prayers for the security, peace, progress and prosperity of the country.
