Secretary tourism visits Kotli Sattian, reviews development projects

RAWALPINDI, Jul 12 (APP): On the special directions of Punjab Tourism Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Secretary Tourism Punjab visited Kotli Sattian to inspect ongoing tourism development projects under the Murree Development Plan for year 2025-26.
During his visit, the Secretary inaugurated a plantation campaign in Patriata.
He also reviewed the site for a new chairlift in Kotli Sattian and inspected the progress of the Glamping Pods Village at Chivra Base along with the Assistant Commissioner.
He issued necessary instructions to improve the quality and pace of development work.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Raja Jahangir Anwar said that the Punjab government has allocated record funds this year to promote tourism.
He said Kotli Sattian has been selected as a new tourist spot where a modern chairlift, a paragliding club, and a glamping pod village are being developed.
“Kotli Sattian is full of natural beauty and we are launching attractive tourism projects here,” he said. “To protect the environment, we are also preparing a master plan to stop haphazard construction.”
He added that under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, tourism promotion will create jobs and improve the standard of living for the local people.
