RAWALPINDI, Jul 17 (APP):Secretary Livestock Punjab Ahmed Aziz Tarar on Thursday visited the Livestock Complex Rawalpindi.
Director Livestock Rawalpindi Dr Naveed Sahar Zaidi gave him a detailed briefing regarding the departmental affairs and ongoing projects and development schemes in the division.
Dr Zaidi said that Rawalpindi Division was number one across the province in the recovery of loans disbursed under the Punjab chief minister’s Livestock Card Programme, while the field teams were working hard for improvement in other projects.
During the visit, the Secretary Livestock accompanied by Dr Naveed Zaidi inspected the Pet Clinic established with the support of the Turkish Government. The clinic’s in-charge Dr Madha Tariq briefed him about the diagnostic, surgical and other facilities available there. An ultrasound scan of the animal present in the clinic was also done.
The Secretary Livestock expressed satisfaction over the modern facilities being provided for pets in the clinic and said that a clear and comprehensive action plan should be prepared so that more citizens could benefit from the facilities.
