Secretary LG inaugurates online birth, death, marriage & divorce certificate in Quetta

QUETTA, Dec 16 (APP):Secretary Local Government and Rural Development (LG &RD) Abdul Rauf Baloch officially inaugurated the online Birth, Death, Marriage and Divorce Certificate (CRMS) PakID Mobile Application on Tuesday.
Additional Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Sanaullah Quraish, Director NADRA Fayyaz-ur-Rehman, Focal Person BR Syed Abbas Agha, Assistant Director CRMS Zia-ur-Rehman and officers of the Local Government and Rural Development Department and NADRA participated on this occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Abdul Rauf Baloch, said that today an important milestone has been crossed in Balochistan towards the promotion of citizen-friendly digital services.
He said that the launch of CRMS Mobile Application is a practical example of developing the civil registration system in the province on modern lines.
The Secretary said that through this mobile application, citizens would now be able to obtain birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates online without visiting the local council offices which would not only save the valuable time of the people but could also save them from unnecessary hassles.
He said that this initiative would significantly improve transparency, convenience and efficiency in civil registration services.Secretary Local Government and Rural Development added that a supplementary agreement has already been signed between NADRA and the Local Government Department for the launch of this application, under which both the institutions would ensure the smooth implementation of this project through close coordination and complete technical support.
He said that initially this mobile application is being introduced as a pilot project in Quetta district, and in light of the successful results of the pilot phase, this service to be extended to other districts of the province in a phased manner.
Abdul Rauf Baloch said that this project is a clear manifestation of the Balochistan government’s commitment to promoting digital governance and providing better, faster and more transparent government services to the public, which would make the lives of ordinary citizens easier and further strengthen the institutional system.
