LAHORE, Jul 25 (APP):In line with the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, another major step has been taken towards a brighter future of youth, with the formal launch of the second phase of the Internship Programme for Agriculture graduates.
The spokesman for the Punjab Agriculture said here on Friday that in the second phase of this programme, two thousands agriculture graduates from all over the province would be selected and provided a monthly stipend of Rs 60,000 to help them become economically empowered and actively apply their skills in the agriculture sector.
Each district would have a separate quota, including Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, D.G. Khan and all other districts of Punjab.
He further said that applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) or MSc (Hons) Agriculture degree from a recognized agricultural university.
The maximum age limit is 25 years and applicants must be residents of Punjab with a domicile of the concerned district.
Interested candidates could get the application form and detailed information from the Punjab website (www.agripunjab.gov.pk) or from the office of the respective Deputy Director / Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension).
He said, “The last date for submission of applications is August 8, 2025.”
All relevant information was available on the department’s website. For further guidance, applicants may contact the Agriculture Helpline at 0800-17000, available Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, he added.
He said that this programme would not only provide practical experience to the youth but also play a key role in agricultural development and the creation of employment opportunities.
