FAISALABAD, Aug 07 (APP):University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan has said challenges in the modern era can be met only by promoting quality education and tangible research work, for which scientists and teachers have to play active role.
He was presiding over the inaugural session of a 14-day training workshop for the newly inducted faculty members at the UAF. The workshop was organised by the Directorate of Academics at the Centre for Advanced Studies’ Auditorium. Dr Iqrar said that knowledge-based economy is prerequisite for development. We need to create the best manpower for a developed society, he said, adding that the best human resource is indispensable for the progress of any organization and country.
Dean Faculty of Social Sciences/Director Academic Dr. Babar Shehbaz said that objective of this workshop is to enhance capacity of the newly appointed teachers so that they can perform their professional responsibilities effectively.
Director Quality Enhancement Cell Dr. Naeem Asghar and Director Human Resource Dr. Manzoom Akhtar also spoke on this occasion.
