SARGODHA, Nov 02 (APP): The Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is stepping up efforts to transform Sargodha into a major Information Technology (IT) center, said SCCI President Khawaja Yasar Qayyum.
He expressed these views while speaking at a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between the SCCI and Logix College on Sunday.
Khawaja Yasar Qayyum said, “We must adopt modern methods to face future challenges and compete with the world.” He added that the SCCI’s ongoing initiatives are bearing fruit, and soon Sargodha will be recognized as an ‘IT Hub’ in addition to being known as the ‘City of Eagles.’
Highlighting the city’s economic potential, he said Sargodha offers vast business opportunities, and the Chamber is playing a vital role in promoting them. “With this MoU, the SCCI will utilize all its resources to promote IT for both educational and business purposes in Sargodha,” he added.
On the occasion, Khawaja Faisal Razzaq, head of Logix College, said that there is a global race to advance IT education. “Our neighboring country is far ahead of us. Just look at their cities — they reflect immense progress in IT,” he remarked.
