PESHAWAR, Feb 13 (APP): Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and DHA Peshawar embarked on a journey to strengthen collaboration and facilitate the business community.
SCCI has shown keen interest to establish a state of the art, business-commercial complex, as well as education, health facility under a joint venture in DHA housing society Peshawar.
A highly productive meeting was held between SCCI President Junaid Altaf and DHA Peshawar Administrator Brigadier Haroon Rasheed Khan at the chamber house, said a press release issued here on Friday.
SCCI and DHA Peshawar have agreed to frame modalities to work together and launch joint initiatives to facilitate the business community.
Meeting was attended by SCCI senior vice president Muhammad Nadeem, vice president Sabir Ahmad Bangash, leader of Businessman Forum and former FPCCI president Ghazanfar Bilour, former presidents Haji Muhammad Asif, Fuad Ishaq, Zahidullah Shinwari and Faiz Muhammad Faizi, former senior vice president Shahid Hussain, former vice president Haris Mufti, members of the executive committee Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, Sajjad Zaheer, Abbas Fuad Azeem, Aftab Iqbal, Saifullah Khan and Saddar Gul, Fazal e Wahid, WCCIP President Qurtul Ain, senior vice president Zaraa Imtiaz and vice president Zareen Akhtar, members and others.
On the occasion, Col (retired) Mudassir presented a detailed-presentation, highlighting the various phases of under-construction DHA Peshawar, ground-work and completion of various sectors, construction activities, procedure and number of facilities in the housing society.
Administrator Brig Haroon Rasheed Khan enlightened comprehensively about the under-construction DHA Peshawar, a fully secured and equipped with all facilities of life, stating that the project has formally initiated in 2017 and tremendous progress made in the last nine years as development work is being carried out on fast-track basis.
Brig Haroon Rasheed invited SCCI to become a partner to establish health, education and other facilities in the DHA housing society.
The DHA administrator agreed with proposals tabled by President Junaid Altaf and called for formalizing the agreement with mutual consensus.
Earlier, President Junaid Altaf speaking on the occasion presented a comprehensive proposal to strengthen collaboration with DHA Peshawar.
He added SCCI is intending to enter a collaboration with DHA for which a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed.
The SCCI president sought special concessions and plots on easy installments for the staff members of the chamber.
Businessman Forum leader Ghazanfar Bilour also spoke on the occasion, appreciated the DHA Peshawar for providing a fully-gated and secured housing society for residents of Peshawar.
Mr Bilour praised the fast-track development work on the DHA Peshawar and expressed desire to initiate various projects under joint ventures in the housing society.
Former presidents, senior members also addressed the meeting and gave their valuable inputs for business community facilitation.
