HYDERABAD, Oct 27 (APP):Sindh Agriculture University (SAU), Tandojam observed October 27 as “Black Day” to express unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir against the illegal occupation by Indian forces.
On this occasion, a protest rally was organized by the University’s teachers, students and staff, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Engr. Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal.
The rally began from the administration block and concluded at the main campus square, where participants carried banners and placards inscribed with messages condemning Indian aggression and supporting Kashmir’s right to self-determination.
According to the SAU spokesperson, addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Prof. Engr. Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal said that October 27 marks a black chapter in the history of Kashmir, when Indian forces unlawfully occupied Jammu and Kashmir in violation of international law.
He stated that the people of Pakistan and its academic institutions stand firmly with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their just struggle for freedom and self-determination.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Director University Advancement and Financial Assistance, said that the people of Kashmir have been waging their freedom struggle for over seven decades, offering unparalleled sacrifices that continue to inspire the world.
He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmir cause at all international platforms.
The rally participants raised slogans in favor of Kashmir’s freedom and pledged to continue advocating for the rights of oppressed Kashmiris.
The event was attended by Dean Dr. Ghiyasuddin Shah Rashdi, Dean Dr. Abdul Mubeen Lodhi, Dr. Mir Sajjad Talpur and a large number of faculty members, staff and students, demonstrating the University’s united stance for the freedom and dignity of the Kashmiri people.
