SARGODHA, Jul 09 (APP):The University of Sargodha (UoS) held a training session titled “Preparing for Admissions” to orient focal persons of various departments ahead of the Fall 2025 admissions.
The training session was jointly conducted by Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Chairman Admission Committee; Dr. Uzma Shahzadi, Director Academics; Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed Gondal, Director Information Technology and Sami Ullah Khan, Assistant Computer Programmer while Dr. Bilal Ahmed, Manager Facilitation Center, served as the host of the session.
The session covered the entire admissions workflow, from initial application submission to final enrollment.
Departmental Focal persons were briefed on common challenges and complications encountered during admissions such as system delays, incomplete applications, errors in submitted data and trained them to verify and rectify applications to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
The session outlined admission rules and regulations including eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, and quota eligibility by maintaining transparency.
A core component of the session was the use of the online admission portal, which has been upgraded to a fully automated, digital system to ensure strict implementation of merit, such as centralized data handling, system-generated merit lists, and role-based access control to eliminate favoritism or manual interference.
The training also explored ways to facilitate students, such as ensuring timely responses to queries, providing clear guidance on procedures, and assisting students unfamiliar with the digital application system.
The session provided focal persons with the necessary tools, clarity, practical strategies and direction to carry out a smooth, transparent, and student friendly admission process for Fall 2025.
