SARGODHGA, Nov 09 (APP): On the occasion of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal’s birth anniversary, office-bearers of the Sargodha Union of Journalists (Dastoor), including Zulfiqar Hashmi, Malik Ejaz, Malik Abid, Ashar Naveed Ashar, G Hasnain, Shafiq Tahir, Khalid Mahmood Bhatti, and Rai Hassan Mahmood Dhuddy, paid rich tribute to the Poet of the East.
They said that Allama Iqbal awakened the spirit of selfhood, freedom, and awareness among the Muslims of the subcontinent through his powerful poetry and profound philosophy. His thoughts, they added, continue to inspire and guide the Muslim Ummah even today, particularly the younger generation, with a message rooted in courage, knowledge, and purposeful action.
The office-bearers stressed that in today’s challenging times, it is essential to embrace Iqbal’s philosophy of selfhood and his vision to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s progress and stability. They emphasized that realizing Iqbal’s dream requires building a nation founded on justice, knowledge, hard work, and unity, and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting Iqbal’s message and philosophy through the power of the pen.
