MANSEHRA, Jul 12 (APP): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Saturday praised the unwavering support of overseas Pakistanis during times of national need, particularly highlighting their contributions to humanitarian causes.
He made these remarks while addressing a special ceremony organized by the Zakat Foundation a U.S.-based Pakistani welfare organization where hygiene kits were distributed among 100 orphan children in Union Council Battal Mansehra.
The event was attended by Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Hazara Division President and Parliamentary Leader in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Sardar Shahjahan Yousaf, alongside other public representatives and community members. A large number of orphan children also participated in the gathering.
During his address, the federal minister described orphan care as a noble and ongoing act of charity and lauded the commendable efforts of overseas Pakistanis who have taken the initiative to support vulnerable children from afar.
He urged affluent individuals within the country to step forward and play their role in supporting orphans, the underprivileged, and the needy. “By contributing to their care and upbringing, we can help shape them into responsible and productive members of society,” he added.
Sardar Muhammad Yousaf personally handed out hygiene kits to the orphan children and appreciated the Zakat Foundation’s role in continuing such impactful community welfare projects.
