SUKKUR, Oct 22 (APP):The 79th meeting of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU)’s Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) concluded with key decisions, including recommending degrees for 66 postgraduate scholars and stressing the importance of research that benefits society.
The meeting, chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr Yousuf Khushk, approved degrees for 14 PhD and 52 MS/M.Phil students. The board also greenlit new research proposals from scholars across various faculties.
Dr Khushk emphasized that research should provide tangible solutions to community problems and suggested disseminating research findings to attract industry interest and investors.
He announced plans to implement a uniform postgraduate policy and an automated system for tracking MPhil and PhD scholars’ progress.
The meeting concluded with appreciation for Dr Khushk’s leadership in improving education quality and fostering a research culture at the university.
