SUKKUR, Jan 12 (APP):The Pharmacy and Botany departments of Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) on Monday held an orientation session for new students, where Vice Chancellor Dr. Yousuf Khushk emphasized the importance of responsibility and excellence in these fields.
Addressing the students, Dr Khushk said a pharmacist plays a crucial role in saving lives and must ensure the quality, dosage, and expiry of medicines. He urged students to work hard, enhance their skills, and contribute to society.
The government is spending huge funds to run this university for you. What we want is for you to be educated to play your role for society, he said.
Dr Khushk highlighted the university’s investment in student development, including 13 crore rupees in scholarships, and encouraged students to seek national and international opportunities.
He also signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with institutions for internships and research, and urged students to focus on their education and societal contribution.
The Chairmen of Botany and Pharmacy Departments reinforced the VC’s message, urging students to adhere to the academic calendar and utilize the faculty for their growth.
