HYDERABAD, Jun 17 (APP):The President, Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry (HCSTSI) Muhammad Saleem Memon has expressed his reservations over the poor condition of mobile network and internet services in Hyderabad.
He said that Ufone, ONIC and Zong customers have been facing problems, including weak signals, call drops, slow internet and frequent service suspension for a long time.
The suspension of Ufone and ONIC services for approximately 10 hours on June 15, 2026, is proof that the respective companies are failing to provide reliable services to the customers.
He said that during power load shedding, mobile internet service becomes almost paralyzed, which shows that many mobile towers are deprived of a proper backup power system.
As a result, users have to face slow or down internet for hours, which affects online business, banking and digital payments.
Saleem Memon said that the world is moving towards 5G technology, while the citizens of Hyderabad are still deprived of quality mobile and internet services.
He demanded that the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the Ministry of IT and the concerned mobile operators take immediate steps to improve the mobile network infrastructure in Hyderabad and across Sindh, take notice of poor services and frequent network outages, eliminate hidden charges and provide quality services to the consumers as per the charges they pay.
